Our society bombards us with advertising images and slogans encouraging us to continually buy more products and services. Our Societies only seems to value what we own or what we think we would like to own. This in turn forces us into a position where these values reflect our status, personal image and self esteem. It is a  system that maintains the political status quo but can only create underlying dissatisfaction for the vast majority of the population.

I am interested in exploring ways of questioning the controlling images and messages that populate our commercial, public and also now our virtual spaces. I  produced collage work in the 1980s (see Anti adverts under Collage) that attempted to challenge this commercial propaganda and now  have opportunity to explore the more prevalent and powerful medium of video.
